Caley Ocean Systems developed a new deployment and overboarding system for Cameron’s Multiple Application Re-injection System (MARS) for deepwater squeeze applications.
The modular handling system allows the MARS hardware to be easily deployed onto the seabed from smaller vessels. The system comprises a high performance spooler, Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) and control station. It uses a flexible riser to deploy the MARS system, and features Caley’s proven clamping technology to reduce fatigue loading on the riser.
Caley can produce a range of handling systems for loading, storing and laying cables, umbilicals, dynamic risers, flowlines and hoses.
Caley Ocean Systems designs and manufactures offshore handling systems for the international energy, defence, seismic and oceanographic science industries. In addition to its Glasgow-based design facilities, Caley’s has a 25,000sqf manufacturing plant with direct access to the River Clyde. Caley was established in 1968, and became part of Pryme Group in 2021 working alongside IMES, Hydratron, GA Engineering and SengS.
